Our mission as a business and economics faculty is to improve the world today and for future generations through excellent research, education, and societal engagement. We seek to understand, communicate, and shape the economic, social, and individual transformation processes of an increasingly complex world. We pursue these goals in the areas of sustainability, digitalization, and governance.
The team of the Chair of Business Administration, with a focus on External Accounting, puts this mission into practice through teaching and research.
- In teaching, we provide students with a sound understanding of the fundamentals and current developments in external corporate reporting and their importance for transparent and responsible corporate governance. Selected courses also address topics such as sustainability reporting and assurance as well as the digitalization of accounting and auditing.
- In research, we focus on the effects of climate and other sustainability risks on companies, corporate reporting, and auditing. We also examine social aspects, such as employee satisfaction.
